Public Records Notification
Attn: Former RSD students (2019 grad year) who received special education services
Riverview School District, as per state law, maintains records on all special education students for six (6) years following graduation, exit from the special education program, and/or departure from the district. The state recommends the district shred these records after this period of time. You have a legal right to obtain these records before their destruction. For some of you, these records may be important for establishing eligibility for certain adult benefits. These records will be available to you, the adult student, during regular business hours, May 16-June 16, 2025.
If you are unable to personally pick up your records, you may have a designated representative pick them up if they present us with written approval from you, notifying us that you are requesting that your records be released.
Please email davenports@rsd407.org, or call the Student Services Office at (425) 844-4516 at least 48 hours prior to the time you, or your representative, plan to pick up your records.
Your file will be retained at the Riverview School District office until June 17, 2025. If we have not heard from you by June 16, 2025, the District will proceed with the confidential elimination of your file.
