Students across Riverview School District recently enjoyed a taste of Washington agriculture as school lunchrooms featured fresh, locally grown and produced foods in celebration of Taste Washington Day.

The event was made possible through the combined efforts of Cedarcrest FFA students and advisers, Riverview's Food Services team and Washington farms and producers whose products were featured on school menus.

Participating farms and producers included:

• La Mexicana Bakery — Renton, Washington

• Cascade Milling — Royal City, Washington

• Imperial's Garden Farm — Wapato, Washington

• Dairy Fresh Farms of Washington — Olympia, Washington

• Sterino Farms — Puyallup, Washington

• Carpinito Brothers — Kent, Washington

• Duris Cucumber Farm — Puyallup, Washington

• Westwind Organics — Carnation, Washington

• Knutzen Farms — Burlington, Washington

• Valicoff Fruit — Wapato, Washington

• E.W. Brandt Farms — Wapato, Washington
