Community members will have an opportunity to see teaching and learning firsthand during upcoming learning walks at the Riverview Learning Center on Oct. 21 and Jan. 20, from 10 to 11 a.m.
Led by Principal Marilee Bosshart, the guided visits will give participants a closer look at classrooms, school programs and students’ daily experiences. Each session will include an introduction, classroom observations and a closing discussion with time for questions.
The visits will begin with a 10-minute overview before participants observe PARADE classrooms serving kindergarten through fourth grade, followed by those serving grades five through eight. Visitors will then spend 20 minutes in CLIP classrooms before gathering for a brief debrief.
Each learning walk is limited to four participants to help maintain a focused experience and respect the learning environment for students and staff.
The visits offer families and community members a chance to better understand the RLC’s programs and connect with the teaching and learning taking place throughout the school day.
To reserve a spot, contact Bosshart at bosshartm@rsd407.org.
Early registration is encouraged because space is limited.
