CARNATION, DUVALL — Riverview School District Superintendent Dr. Susan Leach is inviting students in grades 6-12 to learn about serving on the Superintendent Student Advisory during the 2026-27 school year.

An information night will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30, in the second-floor Board Room at the Education Service Center, 15510 1st Ave. NE in Duvall. All students in grades 6-12 are welcome, and parents may attend with them. Pizza will be served.

The advisory gives students a chance to learn how the district operates and bring forward issues that matter to them. Members also build leadership and presentation skills as they work together throughout the school year.

At the end of each year, advisory members present to the School Board, explaining the issues they addressed and sharing their perspectives with district leaders.

The information night offers interested students and families an opportunity to learn more about the advisory before deciding whether to participate.
