DUVALL — What does peace look like to our youngest learners? Local elementary students answered that question with artwork and handwritten messages now displayed on Peace Trees at the Riverview School District administration building.
City of Duvall Rotarians invited students to create the pieces for the club’s annual Picnic for Peace, where the trees served as the event’s centerpiece. Moving the display to the district building gives more people a chance to see the students’ work and reflect on their ideas.
The messages offer a moving reminder that even Riverview’s youngest learners can express what peace means to them. Each drawing and written thought adds a student’s perspective to a community conversation.
Riverview School District thanks Duvall Rotary for bringing the project to local students and sharing their work with the community. The district also thanks every student who put care and thought into a message or piece of art.
